New ATS clinical guideline on home oxygen for children
The American Thoracic Society has developed a new clinical practice guideline for home oxygen therapy for children in the Feb. 1 edition of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. The guideline has defined chronic hypoxemia as lasting two weeks and diagnosed through pulse oximetry:In children <1 year, as spending 5% of the recording time with peripheral capillary oxygen saturation (SpO2) ≤90%,
