Even 'mild' congenital heart disease poses risk later in life

A study published Feb. 28, 2019 in the journal Circulation found that individuals with less serious forms of adult congenital heart disease had higher burden of adverse cardiovascular events compared to the general population that was unaccounted for by conventional cardiovascular risk factors. These findings suggest closer surveillance of this group of patients.
