A meta-analysis of double-blind randomized clinical trials with topical phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitors compared to placebo ointments found that topical inhibitors are safe and effective for the treatment of mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis. The study is reported online March 27, 2019 in JAMA Dermatology.
