India on lockdown till 15th April due to rising coronavirus outbreak

On Wednesday, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the coronavirus epidemic as pandemic. After this, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a new travel advisory to put India under a lockdown.

  • All visa are suspended till 15th April 2020 except visa issued by international organizations, employment, diplomatic, project visas.
  • This suspension will be in effect from 13th March 2020.
  • Indian citizens at home or in abroad has been instructed to avoid travel and quarantine for 14 days after entering the country.
  • Travelers from Iran, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Germany and China after 15th February would be quarantine for 14 days.
  • Indian citizens are requested to avoid all unnecessary travel.
  • International movement through land borders would also be restricted to selected checkpoints that are equipped with screening facilities.
