Chinese children confined to their homes during the COVID-19 outbreak have reported increased mental health problems, according to a study conducted in Hubei province.

Among 1,784 children in second through sixth grade, 22.6% reported symptoms of depression and 18.9% reported anxiety symptoms after a mean 33.7 days at home, reported researchers in JAMA Pediatrics.
