Patient's relatives filed an FIR against doctors of Subhash Chandra Bose hospital, Jabalpur

An FIR has been filed by the family members of a patient in Jabalpur alleging that the doctors at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, had attacked them.

Sanjeev Uikey, Addl SP of Jabalpur said that there was a quarrel between the family members and doctors, due to which an FIR is lodged by the family members. The incident had occurred on 8th August. A patient was treated for coronavirus infection and tested negative for COVID-19 and hence was shifted to another ward. The patient died and his family members alleged that he was not treated correctly by doctors that resulted in death. Due to this there was tension between the relatives of the patient and the doctors. Few videos had gone viral too. The family members had lodged an FIR and they will investigate the case and take action consequently.

Previously, the deceaseds brother Pawan Jain said that they were attacked by the doctors and their possessions were snatched and broken. He said that his brother died due to oxygen deficiency. One of their nephews constantly asked the doctor for oxygen but he did not take any notice. The nephew also said that he will make a video of this incident. In response to that, the doctors closed the doors, switched off the power supply and started assaulting them. They snatched their belongings and also broke their phones.
