Every action leads to a memory, which in turn leads to a desire and with this, a vicious cycle starts. The mental turmoil of thoughts can be equated to the internal noise and the external desires and objects to an external noise. ....read more

Ever since the global pandemic has dawned upon us, ‘immunity’ has become the buzzword. No one seems to be shying away from doling out tips to boost immunity to protect yourselves from the deadly virus. Did you know that one could suffer from auto-immune diseases, in which the body’s immune system becomes overactive and incorrectly programmed to attack the body’s own tissues? According to a global estimate, nearly 700 million people suffer from an auto-immune condition, in stages ranging from mild and moderate to severe. Psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis are some of the most common auto-immune conditions. Most patients are prescribed immune-suppressants, which could increase their chances of contracting an infection. Elderly patients suffering from autoimmune diseases are at high risk of COVID-19. However, doctors strongly advice not to discontinue or change medication, as it might worsen their existing condition by causing flare-ups.
