BEIJING (Reuters) – The COVID-19 vaccines being developed by China may be ready for use by the general public around November, stated an official with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

China presently has four vaccines in the final stage of clinical trials. At least three of the four have already been offered to essential workers as part of an emergency use program that was initiated in July. CDC chief biosafety expert Guizhen Wu said that the Phase 3 clinical trials were going on smoothly and the vaccines could be ready for use by the general public in November or December. Wu had herself taken an experimental vaccine in April and stated that she has experienced no abnormal symptoms in recent months; however, she did not specify which vaccines she was talking about… (Reuters, September 15, 2020)
