New Delhi: India will not have to wait for a COVID-19 vaccine for long and the first vaccine shots could soon be available, possibly in a matter of weeks, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an all-party meeting.
The cost of the vaccine would be finalized considering the public health interests and following deliberations with state governments. The Prime Minister called on political leaders attending the meeting to help banish the rumors about the vaccine, adding that false claims would hurt the fight against the virus. He added that the vaccine rollout will begin as soon as scientists give the green light.
