U.S. to require negative COVID tests for arriving air passengers

Almost all air travelers will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test to enter the United States as part of the expanded testing requirements announced recently.

Under the rules that take effect on January 26, nearly all travelers, including U.S. citizens, will be required to present a negative test within three days of departure or documentation of recovery from COVID-19. All travelers aged 2 and above must comply, with the exception of passengers who are only transiting through the US. Waivers of testing requirements will also be considered for airlines flying to countries that have little or no testing capacity, including some places in the Caribbean… (Reuters, January 12, 2021)
