More than 17,000 people were vaccinated across 553 sites in six states on Day 2 of Indias COVID-19 vaccination drive, stated the Health Ministry Sunday evening. It added that the number of people who had received at least one shot was around 2.24 lakh.

The six states that conducted vaccinations on Sunday included Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur and Tamil Nadu. On Saturday, 1.91 lakh individuals were vaccinated at 3,006 sites across India after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the vaccination drive.
