India has 1,76,498 active COVID-19 cases, which constitutes only 1.65% of the total coronavirus infections in the country, stated the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.

The daily COVID-19 recoveries in India have been exceeding daily fresh cases for the past 20 days. The cumulative recoveries stand at 1,03,59,305. The country has one of the lowest daily COVID-19 cases per million population (69) in the last 7 days, stated the ministry, adding that India reported only 1 death per million population over the last 7 days.
