The National Adverse Event Following Immunisation (AEFI) Committee is probing the deaths following vaccination against COVID-19. No link has been identified between the vaccine and the deaths thus far, stated government sources.

The experts committee, which includes cardiologists, physicians and neurologists,convened on Friday and reviewed five deaths. The committee noted that the deaths were ‘coincidental’. According to a source, all the cases that were evaluated were found to have comorbidities and no link was found between these deaths and the vaccination. The source added that information about the cause of death will soon be shared in public domain.
