WHO Investigators Discover Signs of Wider COVID-19 Outbreak in Wuhan in December 2019

World Health Organization (WHO) team probing the origins of coronavirus in China found much wider signs of the outbreak of the viral disease in Wuhan in December 2019 than previously anticipated.

The investigators from WHO have sought access to thousands of blood samples from Wuhan which China has not let them have access to thus far. Peter Ben Embarek, lead investigator in the WHO team, told CNN that there were several signs which suggested that the outbreak was far more extensive in 2019.They established for the first time that more than a dozen strains of the coronavirus were circulating in Wuhan already in December. The investigators also mentioned that no evidence could be found of the virus circulation in any animal species in China… (NDTV – ANI, February 14, 2021)
