The director of the US CDC hoped that people will decide to do what is right when it comes to distancing and wearing masks, even in states that move to remove restrictions against the CDCs recommendations.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, during a White House COVID-19 Response Team briefing, said that the CDC has been clear that this is not the time to release restrictions. Her comments came after governors of Texas and Mississippi announced that they were lifting mask mandates and were going to allow businesses to open at full capacity.
