India's active COVID-19 cases decline for second day

The total COVID-19 active cases in India declined to 37,04,099 with a drop of 11,122 cases over 24 hours, stated the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.

This is the second day in a row that active cases have dropped, reported the ministry. Active cases now constitute 15.87% of the countrys total infections. States that cumulatively account for 82.51% of the country’s total active cases include Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Haryana, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. The cumulative recoveries in the country have increased to 1,93,82,642 as 3,55,338 individuals recovered in a span of 24 hours. The mortality rate for the country stood at 1.09%...
