Italy will soon require COVID-19 pass for certain activities

With daily COVID-19 infections again on the rise, Italy is soon going to require people to carry passes which show their health status to gain access to gyms, museums, movie theaters, restaurants, and some other places.

A decree ordering the use of the green passes was approved on Thursday and will come into effect from August 6. In order to be eligible for a pass, people will be required to prove that they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in the past nine months, recovered from COVID in the last six months, or have tested negative for COVID-19 in the previous 48 hours. People will need the passes to dine inside restaurants or cafes, to attend sports events, town fairs, and conferences, and to access casinos, bingo parlors, and pools, among other activities… (ET Healthworld – AP, July 23, 2021)
