Chapter 5 of the Indian Medical Council (Professional conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002 outlines the duties of a physician to the public and the paramedical profession. Section 5.3 of this chapter states: “Physicians should recognize and promote the practice of different paramedical services such as, pharmacy and nursing as professions and should seek their cooperation wherever required.”
