According to research presented March 11, 2018 at the American College of Cardiology’s 67th Annual Scientific Session, which concluded in Orlando yesterday, dabigatran reduced the risk of death, heart attack, stroke and other heart or blood-vessel complications by 28% among patients at high risk for these events because of myocardial injury that occurred after major noncardiac surgery.
