Having a regular healthcare provider - a family physician or a pediatrician - reduces the risk of risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in children aged 12 to 17 years with type 1 diabetes, says a study published April 9, 2018 in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
