World Hemophilia Day is observed every year on April 17 by the World Federation of Hemophilia. The day provides an opportunity to help people with bleeding disorders like hemophilia live healthier, longer and more productive lives by educating and empowering them through knowledge sharing, information exchanges, education and training. Frank Schnabel, a Montreal businessman born with severe hemophilia A first established the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) in 1963.
