With rumours of carcass (dead animal) meat being sold to the public doing the rounds of Kolkata, citizens have shifted their protein preference from meat to fish on Sunday.  Except for spores based disease like anthrax all are practically killed by proper roll boiling or cooking. Disease which can soared are salmonella, E Coli, Listerioa, C Jejuni, Yersinia, Staph, C Botulinium, Norovirus and Mycotoxin.

Following foods need to be cooked thoroughly before eating: poultry, pork, offal, including liver, burgers, sausages, rolled joints of meat and kebabs. When cooking burgers, sausages, chicken, and pork, cut into the middle to check that the meats no longer pink, the juices run clear and its steaming hot throughout.

The safest option is to fully cook food in your oven and then put the cooked food on the barbecue. But if youre only cooking on the barbecue beware of undercooking meat and spreading germs from raw or undercooked meat on to food thats ready to eat. In this situation make sure the coals are glowing red with a powdery grey surface before you start cooking, as this means theyre hot enough; frozen meat is fully defrosted before you cook it and you turn the meat regularly and move it around the barbecue to cook it evenly.

A 51 years old female had LAD 100% and RCA 70%. Should she go for CABG or RCA stenting?

CABG is indicated in Left Main lesions, 3 vessel disease coronary artery disease particularly with a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (usually <40 percent) and 2 vessel disease with more than a 75 percent stenosis in the left anterior descending artery proximal to the first major septal artery. We preferred CABG here as LAD was dependent on RCA and if you only open RCA without touching LAD can be harmful in long run.

Quantum Physics

Quantum physics provides a way to prove that time is not as absolute as we often think it is. It starts with what’s known as quantum entanglement. Scientists have proven certain particles can become entangled so that their physical properties will consistently mirror each other. For example, if one photon is spinning horizontally, its entangled partner will be spinning vertically. Interestingly, it’s also been shown this entanglement has nothing to do with proximity. Particles will still mirror each other when they are vast distances apart.

Researchers entangled two photons that had never coexisted. They became entangled while one was in the “future” and one was in the “past”. Despite their separation through time, the physicists were able to show these two photons mirrored each other even in different timeframes. In a University of Queensland study, photons were shown to actually travel both backwards and forwards through time.
