Having a previous cesarean section increases risk of infection during cesarean section

History of previous cesarean section, smoking, illicit drug use, and obesity increase the likelihood of developing an infection during a C-section delivery, according to a retrospective chart review of 90 C-section deliveries presented at the 45th APIC.
