A stress-related disorder increases risk of autoimmune disease
A stress-related disorder such as PTSD, acute stress reaction, adjustment disorder and other stress reactions was associated with an increased risk of a subsequent autoimmune disease compared with siblings and other individuals without stress-related disorders, according to an observational study published June 19, 2018 in JAMA.
