In a new clinical report on the role of physicians in coordinating care of a hospitalized child, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that physicians responsible for the hospital admission coordinate the patient’s care throughout the stay and upon discharge through direct communication with the child’s primary care physician. The report is published online July 30, 2018.
