Low bone mass associated with fracture risk in postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes

New findings published in the journal Menopause show that about two-thirds of postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes mellitus have low bone mass and deteriorated trabecular bone score, which were also associated with vertebral fracture. Poor glycemic control may also be associated with changes in bone strength in these women.
