World Sight Day is observed annually on the second Thursday in October (11th October this year). The day brings to attention about blindness and vision impairment as major international public health issues for VISION 2020: The Right to Sight, a global initiative created by WHO and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).About 1.2 billion people do not have access to glasses.
