A single-center prospective observational study in patients with symptomatic pelvic organ prolapse concludes that a ring with pessary support is a safe and effective conservative treatment for pelvic organ prolapse. It relieves prolapse and most of the urinary symptoms and also enhances health-related quality of life of the women. Wider vaginal introitus (≥5 cm) was a predictor of pessary discontinuation. The findings are reported in Maturitas, online Sept. 19, 2018.
