Diabetes and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) present similar symptoms including obesity, impaired glucose metabolism, nocturnal sweating and nocturia, erectile dysfunction, unrestful sleep and fatigue.A meta-analysis has confirmed that moderate-to-severe OSA is associated with a greater risk of diabetes when compared with the absence of OSA.CPAP is the gold standard treatment for OSA.
