NICE recommends mpMRI as first-line investigation for suspected clinically localized prostate cancer
A draft clinical guideline from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recommended multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) as a first line investigation for people with suspected clinically localized prostate cancer. According to the guideline, would help identify potentially cancerous lesions and prevent unnecessary prostate biopsies, especially in those with low-risk cancer.
