Dr Nila Mohile shares her views on our story Decapitation of fetus during the delivery process published on Jan. 12, 2019
She says: “As the patient was brought to PHC at 7 months of pregnancy with baby hanging out of vagina means that the baby must have been dead and cervix had not completely opened. Excessive pull would cause decapitation. This can also cause rupture of uterus. If the nurses had left the patient alone, cervix would have ultimately dilated on its own and the baby would have been expelled.”
