  • Heat stress and heavy manual workload in occupational settings are high-risk factors for adverse renal health.
  • More than 90% workers in outdoors sectors and high-heat industries reported heat-related health symptoms.
  • Workers exposed to heat have significantly 2.5 times higher risk of adverse health issues (OR-2.5; p = 0.000; 95% CI = 1.5-4.1)
  • Workers with chronic high-heat exposures had higher prevalence of kidney stones and lower estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
