  • Creatinine: Using standard modeling and only the predialysis serum creatinine, the creatinine generation rate, akin to normalized protein catabolic rate (nPCR), can be calculated as a measure of patient’s nutrition and health.
  • Phosphorus: Using a new kinetic phosphorus model, and combining all P-binders into a measure called equivalent binder dose (EBD), one can predict predialysis serum phosphorus as a function of intake, binder dose and dialysis treatment. This may be useful to identify causes of high predialysis serum phosphorus.
