68 new coronavirus cases with 3 new deaths confirmed in India, the total count reaches 400

On Sunday, the coronavirus infection claimed 3 more lives in India, taking the total death count to 7 as it continues to report a high number of cases reaching 400. 68 new confirmed COVID-19 cases are reported by 14 states, which is the 2nd highest in a single day after 77 cases were reported on Saturday.

Bihar has become the 22nd state to be affected by coronavirus in the country with 3 confirmed cases and 1 death reported. Saif Ali, 38, is the recent victim from Bihar who had returned recently from Qatar. He was admitted to Patna’s AIIMS with chronic kidney disorder on 20th March 20 and was on ventilator support. He had symptoms of coronavirus and his samples were tested positive.

Before being admitted at AIIMS, Ali was admitted to the emergency ward of Patna Medical College and Hospital on 19th March 19. This has led to panic of infecting few of the hospital staff.

Maharashtra and Gujarat has reported one death each, respectively. The ICMR, confirmed in an update, about 396 coronavirus cases in the country. The health ministry said that 23 persons have recovered from the COVID-19 and one has migrated too.
