COVID Vaccination for above 60, Those over 45 with Co-morbidities to Begin March 1

The second phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive is set to start from March 1 in the country. Priority will be given to those above 60 years of age as well as those above 45 with co-morbidities, stated Union Minister Prakash Javadekar. 

The vaccination will be done at 10,000 government centers and 20,000 private centers. The vaccine will be administered free of cost at the government centers, while the charges at private centers will be confirmed in the coming few days. "Those who want to get vaccinated from private hospitals will have to pay. The amount they would need to pay will be decided by the Health Ministry within three-four days as they are in discussion with the manufacturers and hospitals," stated the minister.
