People above 45 with comorbidities need doctor’s certificate for vaccination in India

Individuals 45 to 60 years of age having co-morbidities will need a certificate from a registered medical practitioner, either from public or private sector, stating that they are suffering from a disease that could heighten the risk of infection, and therefore, are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination on priority, stated officials.

A protocol for doctors is yet to be issued. Those in the stated age group who have one or more co-morbidities such as uncontrolled diabetes, heart disorders, chronic pulmonary, kidney diseases, cancer, have undergone transplant, those taking immune medication and have morbid obesity conditions can be given the vaccine… (ET Healthworld – TNN, February 26, 2021)
