A fourth COVID-19 vaccine shot administered to individuals aged above 60 years in Israel increased their resistance to serious illness by three-fold, compared to those who had received three vaccine doses in the same age group, stated Israel′s Health Ministry.

The ministry further stated that the fourth vaccine dose, or the second booster shot, made the 60 plus people twice as resistant to COVID-19 infection compared to those in the same age group who were given three doses of the vaccine.
