The Cambodian authorities have accredited administering a 5th dose of Covid-19 vaccines to priority groups from 9th June nine onwards. The Prime Minister of Cambodia on Friday announced a gap of three months to be observed among the fourth and 5th doses. He further stressed the critical role of vaccines in preventing mortality and severity of the Covid-19 infection and also preventing other infectious diseases such as flu.

Meanwhile no new cases of Covid-19 were reported for the last 14 days and only eight existing active cases in the kingdom. Cambodia has extensively used Chinas Sinovac and Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines and to this point vaccinated round 93.8 % of its population with at least a single-dose, 89% with two doses (fully vaccinated), 56.2% with the third dose and 14.4 % with the fourth dose. Owing to the robust vaccination coverage, Cambodia has restarted all its socio-economic activities and opened the borders fully to completely vaccinated travelers without quarantine since November 2021.
