PRP in Management of Acne Scars

  • Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is relatively new modality in management of acne scars and esthetic dermatology.
  • Combination of PRP with lasers, microneedling and radiofrequency treatment of acne scars is found to be effective.
  • PRP only modality for treatment of acne scars was evaluated and found to be effective.
  • Further research and long-term follow-up is necessary to delineate the value of PRP in acne scar management.
