Moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity reduces mortality in older women

More physical activity and at higher intensities could lead to a big drop in the risk of death in older women from any cause according to new research in the American Heart Association s journal Circulation. More moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity such as brisk walking was associated with roughly 60 70 lower risk of death at the end of the study among the most active women compared to the least active. These findings were published November 6 2017 in the journal Circulation.
