The latest clinical practice guidelines on diabetic foot for primary care health professionals released by International Diabetes Federation (IDF) were introduced at the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Congress 2017 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. A major goal of the guidelines is to provide the criteria for time-adequate referral to a second or third level centers by facilitating early detection and intervention.
