Hypofractionated radiation therapy is effective in breast cancer following mastectomy

According to a new research presented September 25, 2017 at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2017 Annual Meeting in San Diego, hypofractionated radiation therapy (HFRT) delivered in fewer fractions over a shorter period was comparable in effects to conventional fractionated radiation therapy in post-mastectomy patients with breast cancer.
