In a final recommendation statement on hormone therapy for the primary prevention of chronic conditions in postmenopausal women, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has recommended against hormone therapy for preventing chronic conditions in women who have gone through menopause, as the benefits do not outweigh the harms. The statement is published in the December 12, 2017 online issue of JAMA.
