Women who smoke cigarettes have an increased risk of having intracranial aneurysms, revealed a new study published online July 28 in The Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.
The case-control study of over 500 women aged 30-60 years revealed that those with a history of smoking had about 4 times increased risk of having an unruptured intracranial aneurysm (UIA) in comparison with women without a history of smoking.
