In Pune, a woman doctor at the jumbo COVID facility has filed a police complaint against two male doctors at the same facility of molesting her on several occasions in the past few days.

The woman doctor alleged in her statement as per the police that the two male doctors were behaving in an indecent manner with her for almost a week and had molested her on several occasions. So, an FIR was registered by her on Saturday. Shivajinagar police station officials had refused to give any more details; however, no arrest was done till Sunday night.

Shivajinagar police officials had booked the two doctors under IPC Section 354 relating to ‘Assault or criminal force to woman intending to disgrace her modesty’. The accused doctors and complainant were hired by the agency which is running the facility.

The jumbo COVID facility was in a controversy after the relatives of a 33-year-old woman patient said that she went missing after being discharged on 5th September. The family was informed to take her on 13th September. According to the family members, the woman was suffering from psychiatric problems. 

At first, the jumbo COVID facility was run by Lifeline agency but due to several complaints regarding the facilities and failure to offer proper treatment, the service was discontinued. Currently, Medbros agency is handling the jumbo COVID facility and senior civic officers are posted round the clock to monitor its functioning and alsosolve citizens’ problems.
