The lips of truth shall be recognized forever

This sutra from Bible has a very deep significance in day to day life. The truth is ever lasting and always ends up in internal happiness and self-realization. And, in the long run, it always gives you happiness and an all-win situation. A lying tongue, on the contrary, will only give you a momentary pleasure but will lead to or create some difficulty later in life. Spoken words cannot come back just as in the case of a released arrow from the bow. Once lost, one cannot get back his youth, virginity, or respect. Similarly, spoken bad words cannot be taken back and once spoken will create negative waves in the other person’s (on whom they were spoken) mind which will persist as repressed thoughts or memory in the people’s mind forever. Such bad memories will keep on coming back in the person’s mind causing damage to the personal relationships.

Oxford Covid-19 vaccine may become the first to get Indian regulators nod for emergency use

health.economictimes.indiatimes.com

NEW DELHI: With preparations underway for a possible vaccine-rollout by January, the Indian drug regulator is looking at the UK, which sources believe may give its nod to the Oxford Covid-19 vaccine next week, before deciding on giving emergency use authorisation to the Serum Institute that is manufacturing the shots here. Once the UK drug regulator gives its approval to the Oxford vaccine, the expert committee on Covid-19 at the CDSCO will hold its meeting and thoroughly review the safety and immunogenicity data from the clinical evaluations conducted abroad and in India before granting any emergency authorisation for the vaccine here, official sources said.

Caffeine: Here is why you should and shouldn’t consume it on a daily basis

indianexpress.com

Most people like waking up every morning to the sight and smell of freshly-brewed coffee. In fact, earlier this year when Lavazza, the Italian brand, conducted a survey ‘Brewing Conversations’ on Indian millennials, it found that over 50 per cent of respondents opted for a cup of coffee as the first meal of the day. A whopping 94 per cent of the population prefers coffee during an interview, or in a client meeting. Coffee is also seen as a beverage to bond as 50 per cent of the respondents prefer to grab a cup of coffee when they catch up with friends after work. “The active compound that lends the drink its potency is caffeine. It keeps us well-stimulated, on-the-go, and energetic. And not just coffee, caffeine is present in numerous other drinks and concoctions such as tea, chocolate, cola-based soft drinks, energy drinks, and even some medicines,” says nutritionist Mugdha Pradhan, Founder, Thrive FNC.

Study finds antibodies target different parts of SARS-CoV-2 in severe COVID-19 cases

expresspharma.in

The body’s protective antibodies against the novel coronavirus target a different part of the virus in severe cases of COVID-19 than they do in mild forms of the disease, and wane significantly within several months of infection, a new study says. According to the scientists, including those from Stanford University in the US, the findings shed new light on the links between the course of the disease and a patient’s immune response. The research, published in the journal Science Immunology, found that people with severe COVID-19 have lower levels of antibodies targeting the spike protein used by the virus to enter human cells than those targeting proteins of the inner shell of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
