Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) VG Somani has assured people about the safety of the two COVID-19 vaccines by Bharat Biotech and Oxford-AstraZeneca as final approval was given for the shots.

The DCGI made the formal announcement approving the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and indigenously developed Covaxin for restricted emergency use in the country. He said that the vaccines are completely safe and some side effects like mild fever, pain and allergy are common for every vaccine. He also rubbished the rumors that people may become impotent.
