It took 6 days for India to administer over one million doses of the vaccines against COVID-19, making it the fastest rollout of a million vaccinations against the disease among countries for which the vaccination data is available in the public domain.

The country’s vaccination drive started on January 16, and since then, around 12.7 lakh vaccinations have been done, reported the health ministry.
