Researchers from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have suggested that if appropriate measures to check the spread of coronavirus are followed, low-risk, in-person learning is possible.

According to a paper appearing in the Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers suggest that the type of COVID-19 transmission that has been noted in crowded offices and long-term care facilities has not been observed in schools. Though transmission has been reported in schools, it does not appear to have led to enhanced community transmission.
