With right precautions, in-person learning possible during pandemic: CDC

Researchers from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have suggested that if appropriate measures to check the spread of coronavirus are followed, low-risk, in-person learning is possible.

According to a paper appearing in the Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers suggest that the type of COVID-19 transmission that has been noted in crowded offices and long-term care facilities has not been observed in schools. Though transmission has been reported in schools, it does not appear to have led to enhanced community transmission. Two studies from the CDC, published in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, also suggest that amid adequate precautions, children can safely go to school… (CNN, January 26, 2021)
