India has recorded a steady fall in daily new deaths related to COVID-19 since October 1, 2020, stated the Union Health Ministry, adding that the country’s recovery rate is one of the highest in the world.

The Case Fatality Rate now stands at 1.43%. The recoveries from COVID-19 in the country stand at 1,06,11,731 as 11,016 patients got discharged over a period of 24 hours. The recovery rate now stands at 97.31%. The difference between the recoveries and active cases is now 1,04,74,164.

Meanwhile, the number of healthcare and frontline workers that have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in India has crossed the 82 lakh mark… (ET Healthworld – PTI, February 14, 2021)
